It’s been rumored for a long time now that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, Samsung’s premier phablet, will have an iris scanner at launch. Well, that’s finally been confirmed in a video recently released. Check it out-
Looks like it works pretty well. Hopefully Samsung will make it optional, for some people (like me) who have privacy concerns this comes across as a bit creepy.
We’re hoping to learn more about the phone when Samsung officially reveals it on August 2nd. We do know a bit about it so far, here are some of the specs:
- Android 6.0 Marshmallow
- Snapdragon 820 processor
- 4 – 6 GB of RAM
- 12MP dual pixel camera on the back, 5MP for the front facing camera
What do you guys think? Do you like the idea of an iris scanner, or is it invasive?
